2018 IMBA Season Launch Event

The IMBA is thrilled to announce the return of our 2nd annual IMBA Season Launch Event.  On Saturday, May 12th from 10am - 4pm at the Innisfil Recreation Complex Baseball Diamonds - The Innisfil Minor Baseball Association will be kicking off our 2018 season in style!

We are still hard at work putting together details for the event, so please stay tuned and check back on this page in the coming weeks for more details.  For the time being, we'd love for you to save the date as we'd love to see you there to celebrate the start of the best time of year!

NOTE:  STAY TUNED TO THIS PAGE FOR UPDATES ON WEATHER AND THE LAUNCH EVENT.  THERE CURRENTLY IS NO RAIN DATE AS DIAMOND AVAILABILITY IS EXTREMELY LIMITED AFTER MAY 13TH DUE TO THE START OF THE SEASON.  IF THE WEATHER IS VERY POOR ON THE 12TH WE WILL POST A MESSAGE ON OUR WEBSITE AND SEND AN E-BLAST TO ALL REGISTERED MEMBERS TO INFORM THEM.

What's Happening at the Season Launch Event

House League Team Uniform Pick-Up and On-Field Practice Sessions (Morning - 10am - 12pm)

• Coaches should have already or will pick up their team uniforms prior to the launch date.  For our house league teams, this may be the first opportunity for the players and parents to meet their coach.  We are asking our coaches to bring the uniforms to the launch date and distribute to their team here as it is a great opportunity to connect with your team.

• In the morning the IMBA along with some of our coaches will be running on-field practice sessions at both diamonds (we'll be splitting up the age groups).  This is a great opportunity to get on the field (potentially for the first time!), meet some other players, and learn from some of our coaches!  Our amazing high performance training partner - Mind to Muscle will also be on-site to run some H2H athletic competitions!

Coaches Vs. Coaches Game (2pm - 4pm)

• We launched our first ever coaches vs coaches game at the end of last season and it was a HUGE success, so we figured let's do it again!  Last year's game was super-fun and competitive, and we expect no less this year.  If we have enough participants, we will hold two games (one on each diamond).  This event will be open to ALL IMBA coaches for the 2017 season.  If you are interested in participating please send an email to director.coach@innisfilbaseball.com with your name, age, experience playing baseball and top 2 positions played!

Rep & Select Exhibition Games (12pm - 2pm & 4pm - 6pm)

• Some of Innisfil's best teams and players will compete in exhibition games in the afternoon.

The Beach Bar & Grill Season Launch Day Lunch Offer

• The IMBA's valued partner and official Family Restaurant The Beach Bar & Grill (Located at 945 Innisfil Beach Rd) will be offering a special lunch offer this day for our members.  ALL registered IMBA Players for the 2017 season will eat free off their special Launch Day Menu.  This is also a great opportunity to do some team bonding and book a team lunch!  For more details click here.

Raffles, Prizes & Giveaways

• The IMBA will be running a raffle on-site which is intended to raise money for a very important need for Innisfil Baseball.  Right now, we only have 1 pitching mound in Innisfil.  We desperately need to put in another one, and are going to be raising money this season with the intent of having it installed next season.  Please support this worthwhile cause for the League if you can (and also, potentially win some prizes!)
