Mosquito Rep A WINS Bolton Tournament!

The Innisfil Mosquito A Rep team are the champions of the Bolton A/AA Tournament on the weekend of July 7-9!

After solid pool play wins of 7-4 over the North York Blues and 9-7 over the Brampton Royals, the boys coughed up a clunker by losing to the tournament host Bolton Braves, 14-11.  Despite that, they were good enough to qualify as the 4th place seed, earning a semi-final berth against the top-seeded and unbeaten Richmond Hill Phoenix.

An outstanding pitching performance by Nathan "Chucky" Robinson, coupled with a strong offensive outburst, had the boys put a good old-fashioned beat-down on the heavily favoured Phoenix, 15-4.  This set up a rematch with Brampton, who were seeking revenge for their pool play loss.

In the final, the boys continued their timely hitting and rode the arms of Johnny "JC" Liotta and Nicholas "Bobby" MacIsaac to victory, defeating a strong-hitting Royals team 13-8.  Game MVP was Noah "Hammer" McGuigan for his acrobatics on defense and the base paths.
